Hello, Circuit Breaker Week 3

Posted on April 20, 2020April 21, 2020 by T Natasha

We’re into Week 3 of the Circuit Breaker.

The measures have no doubt been inconvenient, affecting many people’s livelihoods and coming at high cost to our economy. But the more strictly we observe the restrictions, the faster they will work, and the sooner we can ease up on them and go back to rebuilding our economy. Singapore’s circuit breaker measures can work in slowing down Covid-19 infections over time if taken seriously. In fact, there are already early signs of effectiveness in the measures.

Let’s jiayou and continue to #stayhomeforSingapore!

Which person are you during the Circuit Breaker Period?

Netflix and fam time?

Thankful for the ‘bonus’ downtime, some of us have been catching up on sleep debt, rest, K-dramas, snacking our days away. Kingdom, Crash Landing on You, anyone? If you have been fortunate enough and not been affected too much by the Covid-19 crisis, you may be thinking, “What a great time to catch up on rest and quality time with family!”

New workout enthusiast?

I’m sure you would have seen more friends on your instagram putting up posts of their HIIT workouts, yoga, 10km runs the past 2 weeks. Well, better late then never! Good job getting started and catching up on all the exercise have missed in the past years, though some machiam training for Olympics… Well still, your body will definitely thank you! Exercising regularly decreases risks of developing certain diseases. Just make sure you keep it up come May! 😛

Internet vigilante?

Now, now, you also have the social justice warriors, playing vigilante, even trolling with all the sudden free time in the world. While acts of online vigilantism in Singapore is nothing new, they have gained significant momentum with the current Covid-19 situation. Is online vigilantism the best way to exact social justice though? Unlikely, if you ask me.

Well, self development, anyone?

14 days till we ‘break out’ of the Circuit Breaker, if you have been actively working on your self-development during this downtime, keep it up for the next two weeks! By then, you will be more ready to take up the opportunities when the upturn comes!
