When the call came from Scoot to ask for volunteers, the response far exceeded one’s expectations. The Scoot Staff Union leaders, members as well as cabin crew stepped forward to serve our fellow Singaporeans without hesitation.

NTUC Secretary-General Ng Chee Meng went to send off the cabin crew of Scoot who had volunteered to bring the stranded Singaporeans safely home from Wuhan. In his Facebook post, he extended his heartfelt appreciation and gratitude for these volunteers.

The pilots rejected his offer to fly with them citing ‘’too stressful for me” which effected  an outburst of laughter among those present.

The Singaporeans have since returned home yesterday.
